3 Simple Tips to help Speed up your PC

One of the biggest problems that you may experience with your PC overtime is the gradual decline in the speed that it takes for you system to boot up, shut down, process files, and so on. This can be a frustrating and nerve wracking experience, especially if you're in a hurry to get things done and can't afford to wait around on a slow PC. There are a number of things you can do to Speed up your PC and increase the quality of your work experience when using your computer.

Remove Unused Programs
Over time you will install programs for different reasons and at some point will abandon some of those programs because you no longer need them. When you install a new program there are files, system configuration settings, and other application specific resources that are created on your computer. All of this information takes up space and can affect the overall performance of your system. If you no longer use programs that you have installed over the years, then it would be a good idea to remove them in order to free up disk space and other system resources.

Remove Programs from Windows Startup
When a new program is installed on your computer, chances are it may have been added to the startup sequence if you didn't explicitly tell the installation process to exclude it form the windows startup sequence. As you install more and more programs onto your computer, you run the risk of having some or all of these programs added to the windows startup event. When you boot up your computer, all of these programs will attempt to start at the same time, which will cause an overall slowdown in the performance of your computer. If you would like to help Speed up your PC, remove any and all programs from Windows startup that don't need to run unless you tell them to.

Free Up Disk Space By Deleting Old Data
Over time you will collect more and more data, which will ultimately decrease disk space and will affect the overall performance of your computer. If you would like to Speed up your PC, eliminate old documents that are no longer needed, temporary internet files, unused programs, and downloaded installation files. All of these items take up precious disk space and if they are no longer needed, they should be removed in order to provide more disk space to be able to operate more efficiently.
